Πανέτοιμος ο head coach της Aspida Team Renzo Gracie Κύπρου Ανδρέας Αχνιώτης για το παγκόσμιο πρωτάθλημα IBJJF βραζιλιάνικου ζιου ζίτσου NO-GI, που θα διεξαχθεί στο San Francisco US στις 5 και 6 Νοεμβρίου.

Να υπενθυμίσουμε ότι ο Ανδρέας είναι ο πρώτος και μοναδικός Κύπριος αθλητής που αγωνίζεται τα τελευταία 2 χρόνια σε επαγγελματικό επίπεδο στο άθλημα του βραζιλιάνικου ζιου ζίτσου.

Η IBJJF (International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation) κάθε χρόνο διοργανώνει το παγκόσμιο πρωτάθλημα, το οποίο θεωρείται ένα από τα πιο δύσκολα πρωταθλήματα βραζιλιάνικου ζιου ζίτσου, στο οποίο συμμετέχουν τα μεγαλύτερα ονόματα του αθλήματος.

Είμαστε σίγουροι ότι ο αθλητής μας θα εκπροσωπήσει την Κύπρο δίνοντας τον καλύτερο του εαυτό και θα μας κάνει περήφανους.

Annual Grading 2016!
This was one of the most productive year for the family of ATRG. Not only on a competitive lever but also an educational level as well.
Bjj is growing and is growing fast. Is up to us to give the right guideness and environment.
We feel proud to representing the sport not only nationally but also internationally on the highest level.
For the first time we reach the highest level of BJJ and put Cyprus and ATRG on the map as a force to be reckoned with.
We are talking with actions

WE are a team, proud, strong and confident and I believe we can all feel this every time we step on that red and grey mat.
Congratulations to everyone who received their stripes and belts.
Thanks to our master and ATRG founder Pantelis Panayides for his guidance and support we only look forward to a successful more improved year!
Kudos to Prof. Alexis Kallis and instructor Andreas Achilleos for their great work and passion that bring to our mats on a dally basis.

Στο τέλος της τελετής απονομής ο Ανδρέας Αχνιώτης προχώρησε σε μια σύντομη ομιλία  και την αναφέρουμε ποιο κάτω  :

Αυτή ήταν ίσως η ποιο παραγωγική χρόνια για το ATRG.Όχι μόνο σε ανταγωνιστικό επίπεδο αλλά επίσης και σε επιμορφωτικό επίπεδο.

Το BJJ στην Κύπρο επεκτείνεται και κερδίζει έδαφος καθημερινά σε ένα περιβάλλον οπού υπαρχή η πάντα η σωστή καθοδήγηση.

Νιώθουμε περήφανα που αντιπροσωπεύουμε αυτό το άθλημα όχι μόνο σε τοπικό επίπεδο αλλά και στο  διεθνή επίπεδο και καταφέραμε μέσα από αρκετές θυσίες και προσπάθειες να βάλουμε την Κύπρο ως υπολογίσιμη δύναμη στο διεθνή χάρτη .

 Το ATRG σαν ομάδα νιώθουμε πολύ περήφανη ,δυνατή και με αρκετή αυτοπεποίθηση και αυτό διαφαίνεται στον κάθε ένα από εμάς στον σεβασμό που κρατάμε  τιν κάθε φόρα που βαδίζουμε επάνω στο κόκκινο η το γκρίζο πάτωμα .

Συγχαρητήρια στον δάσκαλο  μας και ιδρυτή  του ATRG Παντελή Παναγίδη για την καθοδήγηση και την υποστήριξη που μας δίνει σε ότι κάνουμε και επίσης για την ανοδική πορεία που αποκτήσαμε από αυτή .

Τέλος  θέλω να ευχαριστήσω το Αλέξη Κάλλη και τον εκπαιδευτή Ανδρέας Αχιλλέως για το σπουδαίο έργο και το πάθος που μας προσφέρουν

ATRG promoting the youth sport work

Aspida Team Renzo Gracie  instructors Andreas Achniotis and Andreas Achilleos

 will participate in the training course:

"Strategic partnership and activities for promotion of youth sports work during the European week of sport" 

that will take place in Novi Sad, Serbia from 31/5/16 - 8/6/16 

The purpose of this course is to educate youth workers for quality envisioning and promoting the youth sport work events that thus contribute to increasing participation in quality sports. Out of 32 participants, 14 partner organizations and 13 countries Prof. Achniotis and instructor Achilleos will represent the international humanitarian and independent Institution "Hope for Children" UNCRC Policy Center, Cyprus and the sport of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

NAGA London 16/Apr/2016

Με μεγάλη επιτυχία στέφθηκε η συμμετοχή των Κύπριων αθλητών στο Διεθνή διαγωνισμό του NAGA (North American Grappling Association) που διεξήχθει στο Crystal Palace National Sports Center στο Λονδίνο, στις 16 Απριλίου 2016.

Χρυσό μετάλλιο στην κατηγορία γυναικών στο gi(στολή) και no-gi κατέκτησε η Μαρίνα Μαύρου μετά από τέσσερις συνολικά αγώνες, ενώ ο Θωμάς Μαγνήτης βραβεύτηκε με δύο χάλκινα μετάλλια στην κατηγορία ανδρών κάτω των 80kg στο gi και no-gi μετά απο εννιά αγώνες. Διάκριση στις μαύρες ζώνες εξασφάλισε ο Ανδρέας Αχνιώτης κατακτώντας χάλκινο στο no-gi και τη χρυσή ζώνη του διαγωνισμού στο gi μετά απο τέσσερις αγώνες

28/12/2015 Aspida Team Renzo Gracie winter grading went down. We congratulate all the team members on their journey into new colors. We end this year on a high note with many successes and step into 2016 stronger than ever. May the new year bring health, happiness and even more colored belts!

John Murray Belt Promation 26/Nov/2015

Congratulations to John Murray who has been promoted to blue belt by Prof. Andreas Achniotis, Prof. Alex Kallis and Prof. Pantelis Panayides. John is one of the most dedicated students, travelling an hour to come train and even competing on the IBJJF circuit regularly.

NO-GI World Championship 7-8 Nov 2015

Historic moments for the Cyprus Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as Andreas Achniotis is the first Cypriot that represent the island at the NO-GI World Championship 2015 as Black Belt in Adult division (PRO).

The biggest event of the season is finally over with Andreas showing high level jiu jitsu in the biggest event of the session. By losing at the 8final from Brazilian Champion Tiago Gaia at light division.

In the Open Division Andreassccore his first victory at the 16 final against Geoffrey Villarreal. At the 8 final losing after an amazing fight against 10 times world champion Caio Terra.

This is just the beginning for Aspida Team and Cyprus BJJ in general.

The first Black belt to represent Cyprus in a pro level

Ο Ανδρέας Αχνιώτης είναι ο πρώτος Κύπριος αθλητής του brazilian jiu jitsu που θα λάβει μέρος σε Παγκόσμιο πρωτάθλημα (στο επαγγελματικό) στην κατηγορία μαύρης ζώνης.

Οι αγώνες θα πραγματοποιηθούν στο Los Angeles στις 7-8 του Νοέμβρη και ελπίζουμε οτι ο Κύπριος αθλητής θα αναδείξει το νησί μας σε τόσο μεγάλους αγώνες.

Bjj and Beach Camp 24 -30 Aug 2015

Το πρώτο Bjj Camp στην Κύπρο θα πραγματοποιηθεί στον Πρωταρά στο Ξενοδοχείο του Crystal Springs από τις 24 μέχρι τις 30 του Αυγούστου.

Κάθε μέρα θα έχει προπονήσεις νωρίς το πρωί και αργά το απόγευμα με head coach τον Andrea Baggio second degree black belt, ιδρυτή της Milanimal στο Μιλάνο

με βοηθούς τον Αντρέα Αχνιώτη Perales και Παναγιώτη Μελωδία first degree black belts της Aspida Team Renzo Grasie Cyprus.

Andreas Achniotis Seminar in Barreto bjj team in Finland

After been invited by our friend Raimon Posti, head instructor of Barreto team Finland, a 4 day seminar was held by Aspida's Andreas Achniotis. In Finland, they train 7 days a week, 3 times per day. So in total, in the seminar was 10 hours. Andreas had the opportunity to roll with almost all the students, where the level was very good. All the Fins were very hospitable and open minded. This was a good start to a long term relationship between the two academies, and we hope to get the two teams together again soon.
